Information

  • There is a $50 deposit on all tattoos, which is taken off the final price. Custom designs require an additional $50 drawing fee.

I price by the piece, most of my flash typically falls between 30 min. and 4 hours. I have a $100 minimum for appointments.

Amount of detail and certain placements can be more labor intensive and smaller is not always faster or cheaper. I always ask you reach out if you are interested in something but have a limited budget, I can offer sliding scale in certain cases.

Occasionally I can take on full or partial trades, I’m always open to hearing what you have to offer.

One touch up within a year is included, if needed.

  • Downtown Bellingham, Washington

I send out the address once you book a tattoo, because my studio is appointment only.

For reference, I’m about half a mile from the Community Food Co-op. The studio is up a flight of stairs, and we have room for 3 people at a time. There is A/C for the summer months.

  • Keep in mind these are best practice, if you can’t make these things happen before a tattoo, no worries!

1-3 days before your tattoo it helps if you exfoliate and moisturize the location.

Get a full nights sleep and avoid drugs and alcohol for 24 hours, make sure you stay hydrated.

Eat a full meal before your appointment, bring water, and it’s never a bad idea to bring snacks.

Too much caffeine can make you twitch and bleed more during your tattoo, so don’t drink more than necessary.

Some people prefer to wear headphones, read a book, twiddle their thumbs, etc. If there is anything you are not sure about bringing, feel free to ask.

  • Healing

Tattoos typically take 2 weeks to heal, but it may take longer depending on care and the person.

Expect flaking and dryness, raised skin until it is completely healed.

    Things to Avoid Until Healed

    • Soaking the tattoo; baths, swimming, hot tubs, excessive sweating, etc.

    • Wearing abrasive clothing, jewelry, or shoes that will rub up against the tattoo.

    • Thick petroleum products such as Vaseline, Aquaphor, etc.

    • Over-applying moisturizer, if you feel it is dry, add multiple thin layers throughout the day.

    • Touching, picking, scratching, peeling, rubbing, slapping, or otherwise irritating your tattoo.

    • Exposure to the sun for 3-4 weeks. After that, use sunblock to help prevent premature fading.

    Saniderm (The bandage I Use)

    * You can always request to not use saniderm if you have had a bad reaction in the past, or are sensitive to adhesives.

Saniderm acts as a barrier to protect your tattoo in the beginning of the healing process. It should be removed after 2-3 days.

It's normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage. If the bandage begins to leak or peels so that the tattoo becomes exposed, please remove as soon as possible. It is also important to remove if you sweat excessively.

If you experience redness, swelling, or blistering under or around the bandage, you may be reacting to the adhesive remove it as soon as possible.

To remove, find an edge of the bandage and pull it back over itself in the direction of hair growth under running water.

Wash the tattoo with a mild, fragrance-free soap, and dry with a clean paper towel or air dry.

Apply a thin layer of moisturizer to help the tattoo heal and itch less. Applying too thick, or too often may cause the tattoo to scar.

  • Tattoos can differ in pain for every person, and different spots and a variety of other factors can make tattoos more or less painful. While some people find tattoos therapeutic, it is not uncommon for people to experience a trauma-like response to getting tattooed. By communicating issues you have had in the past, we can work together to mitigate responses like these. However, sometimes you are unaware of how your body will react until you are in the moment. Sometimes a small break can make all the difference. Tattoos are uncomfortable and there is no way around that, but there are certain changes we can make, so please say something if you are having a problem. Some examples of things we may be able to change are placement, positioning, temperature, timing, pacing, music etc.

Consent can be revoked at any time, no questions asked, and you are never required to finish a tattoo. Ultimately it is your body. There is always an option to take a break, finish in another session, or find a stopping point that feels good for you.

    • You must be 18+ to be tattooed (IDs are checked).
